Thurlby Customer, Tom Wilkinson has been training with the British Rowing Team, enjoying success with a Bronze Medal in the 2007 World Championships and a Bronze at the World Cup last year in the 8. Tom now has an objective to remain in this boat class for the Olympic games in London in 3 years time where he thinks we will be in strong contention for a medal!

The team have also won the Grand Challenge at Henley Royal Regatta, which no British crew has won for 13 years!

On the 28th August 2009, Geoff Pritchett who was one of our longest serving staff members officially retired. Geoff who was a Technician at the Alford site had clocked up over 42 years service with the Company. Geoff was presented with a variety of gifts form his colleagues and we wish Geoff and his wife Bev all the very best and a long and happy retirement.

Thurlby Motors would like to offer our congratulations to Chris Jarrett on a sucessful 12 mile bikeathon.

The bikeathon is now in it's 10th year of fundraising to support the Neurosurgical Unit at Hull Royal Hospital. The event is organised by Ruth & Tony Knowles in support of the care shown to their daughter Emma Jayne.
